FXP Festival 2025
Welcome to FXP Festival 2025 – an exciting computer game design and build competition for secondary school and college students (12 – 19 years old) in Cambridgeshire, developed by Rizing Games, Conscious Communications and Jagex. Since 2016, the festival has given young people an exciting hands-on game development experience, raising aspirations of young people by building valuable skills – from teamwork and communication, to coding, design, creative writing and storytelling. After returning to an in person event for the first time since the pandemic in 2024, FXP Festival 2025 will once again take place in person and will take place over two days, Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th of July 2025. FXP Festival was created in 2016 as a STEM initiative based on a computer and mobile game design and development competition. In 2020, FXP Festival officially became a registered UK charity.
Completely free to attend, each year FXP Festival has attracted teams with a wide range of interests and abilities – from those experienced in coding, to those more interested in the creative concept and artistry of game design or narrative and storytelling.

In 2020, FXP Festival officially became a registered UK charity (1190579). FXP Festival provides young people with real insight into what careers in the creative digital industry might offer, with the aim of raising the aspirations of young people, building valuable skills, and strengthening the recruitment pipeline for the regional high growth technology sector.
